Eric Walker

Deputy Chief of Staff

Beginning his career by staffing for Dayton’s longest-serving commissioner, Dean Lovelace, Eric honed his skills in understanding local dynamics and building strong connections within the community. His commitment to civic engagement led him to serve as a GOTV field organizer for President Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign in the Greene County area, where he emphasized the importance of Get Out The Vote (GOTV) efforts.

Eric’s dedication to education and empowerment led him to work closely with Central State University and Wilberforce University, where he focused on mobilizing student populations to participate in electoral processes. His experience extends to statewide and local campaigns, where he served as a field organizer for the City of Dayton’s 2016 Issue 9 campaign, advocating for universal preschool access.

Recently elected as a member of the Dayton Public Schools Board of Education, Eric continues his commitment to fostering positive change within the education system. A proud graduate of Wilberforce University, Eric’s journey also includes time spent at Central State University, where he honed his leadership skills and passion for community advocacy. With a track record of impactful engagement and a dedication to serving his community, Eric Walker is a dynamic force in the realm of politics and education.
