Kayla Lewis

Chief of Staff

Kayla Lewis is Innovation Ohio’s Chief of Staff. She brings an abundance of state and local campaign experience, as well as five years of state legislative experience, and four years of direct service nonprofit experience. She has held various positions on political campaigns ranging from field and volunteer organization to communications and strategy.  

As a legislative staffer, she has successfully worked on a range of issues such as Ohio’s biennium State Operating Budget, brownfield cleanup resources, economic development, education policy, and criminal justice initiatives, to name a few. She is passionate about connecting people, politics, and the government to create change. 

Kayla is a proud HBCU graduate of Kentucky State University, located in Frankfort, Kentucky, where she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She has also earned a diploma from The Campaign School at Yale University and has a law degree from Capital University Law School.
