Bill Analysis: This is a companion bill of House Bill 417, regulating fetal remains from an abortion to be disposed of by cremation or burial only. The bill would require the director of Ohio Department of Health to adopt rules requiring that abortion clinics must only dispose of the fetal remains through burial or cremation, or by an approved hospital type of incineration.
Status: Bill was introduced introduced in the House on December 23, 2015. It was referred to the House Health and Aging Committee on January 20, 2016. The committee passed the bill on April 13, 2016.
