Bill Analysis: The bill requires employers that employ more than 100 employees to grant 3-5 days off per year for certain medical and legal issues related to domestic violence. It also permits a tenant to end a rental agreement or have their name removed from the lease if the tenant or a member of the household is a victim of domestic violence. It also requires the landlord, at the request of the tenant, to change the locks of a rental property.
Status: Introduced in the House October 16, 2013 and received a hearings in the House.
