2018 Women’s Policy Primary Voter Guide

Today, Innovation Ohio Education Fund is joining the Ohio Women’s Public Policy Network to roll out a new, educational resource for voters going into the May 8 primary election. The Ohio Women’s Public Policy Network Voter Guide allows voters to compare candidates’ answers to a number of questions about policies that will:
  • Promote Economic Security for Women and Families,
  • Ensure Opportunity and Fairness in the Workplace, and
  • Improve Women’s Health and Well-Being
Questionnaires were sent to all candidates who filed for the primary election in statewide and legislative seats where there is a competitive primary. Answers that were received are displayed online for ease of comparison. Menus are provided to list competitive statewide, Senate and House races. Answers are provided and those who did not respond are indicated as such. All candidates in the following races responded to the survey: Responses were also received for one or more candidates in each of the following races: Governor (Republican)HD13 (D), HD14 (D), HD19 (D), HD42 (D)HD44 (D), HD66 (D)HD67 (R), SD3 (D), SD21 (D), and SD23 (D). We will continue to update the guide with answers as they come in through Tuesday’s election. As a member of the Ohio Women’s Public Policy Network, we are grateful to the candidates who took the time to respond to the questionnaire and let Ohioans know how they will prioritize policies that impact women and families.
