Lame Duck Update – Education: IO Will Cover Ed Hearings at Statehouse Tomorrow
Two interesting education-related hearings will be happening in the legislature Wednesday that may give insight as to what education reform and funding policies will be coming out of Columbus next year. In the morning, the House Finance Committee will be taking testimony about education finance and other topics. And in the afternoon, Students First — the controversial education group started by conservative education darling Michelle Rhee (which spent big money to defeat the former Ohio Teacher of the Year in the November election) — will be holding court in the Ohio Senate.
IO will be at both hearings. Education Policy Fellow, Stephen Dyer, will be live-Tweeting from each hearing and will blog about the day’s events on Thursday. Follow Steve on Twitter @StephenODyer.
