Cuts Hurt Ohio – new resource for state budget cuts by county

Today, our friends at One Ohio Now released a new website aimed at revealing the true impact of the state budget cuts to individual Ohio counties. CutsHurtOhio.com is an interactive website, produced by One Ohio Now in collaboration with Innovation Ohio and Policy Matters Ohio, showing the total cuts each Ohio county received in the state budget, with subtotals for education and local government. In addition, a sampling of local newspaper headlines inform users the ways in which these cuts have reduced services and resulted in local tax increases and officials’ desperate calls for levies.

We think the site will prove a great resource for organizations and advocates negatively impacted by funding cuts, and we encourage you to share it on social networking sites.
