Hate-fueled political rhetoric is terrorizing Springfield, Ohio

COLUMBUS — Today, Desiree Tims, President/CEO of Innovation Ohio released the following statement following the bomb threat in Springfield, Ohio:

“Keeping our families and neighborhoods safe must be a top priority. But, unfortunately, some politicians are hell-bent on dividing us with fear and anger, shamelessly ramping up their anti-immigrant rhetoric like they do every election. We all know exactly where this leads — this kind of reckless behavior has already fueled the insurrection on January 6, terror attacks in Pittsburgh, El Paso, Buffalo, bomb threats like this one, and worse. Enough is enough. Instead of stoking hate and division, we need leaders who will bring us together and focus on what really matters: economic security, reasonable gun safety measures, and keeping our neighborhoods safe.”
