Today, the Ohio Senate will hold its last voting session before a long recess that could last until after November elections. The Senate is set to vote on 15 bills today on the floor. Here is an overview of what to expect.
HB87 (Community Schools) – would return any money recovered by Auditor of State from charter schools that ripped off taxpayers to the districts that were supposed to have received it in the first place
HB263 (Dogs on Patios) – authorizes restaurants to allow dogs in outdoor areas, preempting local health department rules enacted in some Ohio cities.
SB119 (“Daniel’s Law”) – allows a pharmacist to dispense or, in some cases, administer an emergency refill of naltrexone (narcan)
