Project 2025 is a dangerous plan that has been formed by politically powerful allies and supporters of Donald Trump that will be implemented if he wins a second presidential term in 2024.

The proposed plan from the power-hungry Heritage Foundation to implement a number of far-right measures as soon as Donald Trump potentially enters office is incredibly concerning. Project 2025 centers Donald Trump as the leader of a radical right-wing conservative future America, with the goal of planting 20,000 MAGA-loyalist operatives throughout the federal government, and dismantling much of how our government currently operates. The members of Congress who represent us have the power to stop many of the extreme policy recommendations from Project 2025.

Project 2025’s far-right conservative, anti-democratic vision includes hundreds of damaging policy recommendations:

• Ban abortion and contraceptives (pages 449-503)
• End marriage equality for interracial and same-sex marriages (pages 545-581)
• Eliminate the Department of Education (page 319)
• Cut Social Security (page 691)
• Cut Medicare (page 449)
• Defund the FBI and Homeland Security (page 133)
• Mass deportations, incarceration, and internment of immigrants (page 133)
• End birthright citizenship (page 133)
• Additional tax breaks for corporations and the extremely wealthy (page 691)
• Deregulate big business and the oil industry (page 363)
• End climate protections and eliminate the EPA (pages 369-417)
• End civil rights and DEI protections in the government (pages 545-581)
• Eliminate unions and worker protections (page 581)

We the people are demanding that our legislators denounce this plan and pledge to do everything in their power to fight any policies that proliferate from this plan. You have the power to stop many of these horrifying, discriminatory, threatening efforts and policies. This plan threatens the lives and livelihoods of many Ohioans, from threatening public education and educators, to low-income Ohioans, to women and LGBTQ+ individuals.
