Ohio Senate takes Innovation Ohio’s advice and axes wasteful Workers Comp Council
Today the Ohio Senate took Innovation Ohio’s advice and eliminated the wasteful Workers Compensation Council in the substitute version of HB 153, the operating budget. On April 20, Innovation Ohio exposed approximately $1 million of Ohio businesses’ and injured workers’ funds appropriated to an agency with 1 employee, very little work product and a history of scandal.
We wait anxiously to see if the House fights to retain the indefensible WCC after the Republican majority in the Senate agreed with Innovation Ohio and realized it had to go.
