Title: Court Costs
Sponsors: Senators Manning and Turner
Bill Analysis: This bill establishes the Rape Crisis Program Trust Fund. Money paid into this fund will come from additional court costs imposed upon individuals convicted of or who plead guilty to any sexually orientated offense. The money in the fund must be provided to eligible rape crisis centers. The bill would also add a representative of the rape crisis centers to the State Victims Assistance Advisory Council. This is the companion bill to HB 488.
