All legislation in the 129th General Assembly that affects women is listed below, according to whether it advances the rights and needs of women (“pro-women”) or rolls back rights or benefits long enjoyed by women (“anti-women”). The last three columns indicate whether a bill has had any legislative hearing, has come up for a vote on the floor of either Chamber (House or Senate) and whether it has been signed into law by Governor Kasich. Clicking on the name of each bill brings up additional information, including the sponsors and status of the legislation.
As of May 14, 2012, anti-women bills were twice as likely to have received a hearing and 10 times as likely to have been brought up for a vote in the House or Senate.
